Main tasks in the project – ICL will perform all the lipidomics detailed in the proposal (WP2-5).

Prof. Dr. Julian Griffin focuses on the development of metabolomics and lipidomics tools to investigate aspects of the Metabolic Syndrome (http://www.bioc.cam.ac.uk/uto/griffin.html). In addition he has a long standing interest in the use of lipidomics and metabolomics as a tool for toxicology. His group has been at the centre of the development of metabolomics/metabonomics as a research tool in biochemistry, particularly its application to medical diagnostics, personalised medicine and toxicology.

Dr. Sonia Liggi is an expert in bioinformatics and will provide training in aspects of computational biology and bioinformatics using R, python, galaxy and Knime workflows.

Dr. Susy Palma Duran is an expert in mass spectrometry based metabolomics, particularly using mass spectrometry.
